Process & Timeline Questions
- The process starts with a meeting to discuss your goals and requirements.
- After the meeting, you'll complete a comprehensive Design Questionnaire.
- Once I've received the questionnaire, I'll create a quote for you.
- Upon approval, we'll start with a Project Kick-off Meeting to go more in depth, review your competitors and market, discuss the site structure and proposed pages, and set the project timeline.
- The Site Strategy is confirmed and the Design begins. I'll typically start with the homepage design and then move onto secondary pages.
- Once the design has been approved, the Development stage begins.
- Content will be added to the site.
- Browser, platform, and usability testing will take place.
- Once all testing has been completed and the site has been approved, the Site Launch will occur.
- Additional testing will be performed in the live environment.
Most small–medium websites take 4–8 weeks depending on content readiness, complexity, and feedback turnaround. E-commerce or multi-page builds may take longer.
We'll start with a design and strategy meeting to determine requirements and goals. Generally to start the build of a site, I require the following items.
- A completed design questionnaire
- Design and strategy session
- A domain name
- Your logo
- Your brand guidelines
- Login details for existing sites/platforms, domains and hosting
- Copy for all pages
- Images for all pages
- 50% deposit
If anything is missing, I can help you create or gather it.
Absolutely. I share key design stages with you so you can review and refine before we move into build. Collaboration is part of my process.
Each stage includes a dedicated revision round so you can make changes without unexpected costs. Additional revisions are always possible if needed.
The number of revisions will be stated in your quote.
