Hi there!
I’m Karen (that’s me over there →) and Karebou is my boutique web design studio located in Kingsland, Auckland and also in the city on K Road. I’ve been designing and building standards compliant and SEO (search engine optimised) friendly websites for over eight years now and I’ve been a freelance web designer in Auckland for the past two years. I’ve had the pleasure of working with a number of individuals and small businesses to help them either get online for the first time or improve their existing image on the web.
When you talk to me you might think I have an American accent and you would be right. Despite the fact that I was born in Christchurch and I’ve been in Auckland for the last seven years I’m unable to shake it so please don’t hold it against me! Before I started my company, I worked for five years at Netconcepts as the lead designer and design team leader. Netconcepts was a highly regarded international web development and search engine optimisation (SEO) firm at the time but unfortunately they’re not around anymore. Prior to returning to New Zealand I lived in the U.S. and was a web designer and project manager for Interland (now web.com) in Atlanta, Georgia.
